Elsie – Queen of the Bras d’Or

Elsie, built in classic style in 1917.  Elsie offers a sailing experience like no other as she was designed specifically for the Bras d’Or Lakes. 
Built for sailing, this 55-foot yacht departs daily from Baddeck.  Her skilled captain and crew provide a spectacular outdoor adventure including stories of the boat’s incredible heritage.  A link to a bygone era, Elsie also serves as an ambassador for the Bras d’Or Lakes, recognized as “One of 50 Places of a Lifetime” by National Geographic Traveler. The Elsie experience has also received a service excellence award in Outdoor Adventure from Nova Scotia’s Tourism industry.

Historical Baddeck, the Alexander Graham Bell story, bald eagle sightings, fantastic photo opportunities, and, of course, one of the greatest outdoor adventures in Atlantic Canada.

Tours depart from the Lakeside Adventure Centre Boardwalk at the Inverary Resort in Baddeck.

Tour duration: 3 hours
Daily Departures: 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
